How Does a Cop Know You Don’t Have a Seat Belt on in the Middle of the Night?!?

Question by : How does a cop know you don’t have a seat belt on in the middle of the night?!?
About two months ago I was driving a beat-up Buick Century around 1am in the city of Indianapolis. I had to be going around 55mph. A cop pulls me over and says I’m getting a seatbelt ticket. My question is how could he have possibly seen that I didn’t have a seatbelt on? The thing that really irked me was I had just taken it off to find something in my backseat. I think I was being followed because my car looked like a “drug” car. I get pulled over at least once a month. The excuse most of the cops use is that my backtail light is busted out. They pull me over even when I have red tape covering it. Do you guys think that it was just by the cops convenience that I didn’t have a seatbelt on? Because I don’t see HOW he could have seen inside my car at 1am. I think he was looking for an excuse to pull me over. BTW, don’t respond if you’re just going to say it serves me right that I got one or that I was disobeying the law, etc. I already KNOW this.
Hey Mac guess what?! I DID pull over to look. I just forgot to put it back on. Also, I’m not endangering ANYONE by me not putting on MY seatbelt. Jerk off.
The whole POINT I was trying to make was that the cop had to be following me BEFORE he could see that I forgot to fasten my belt back. I’m totally aware that I was “breaking the law” or whatever but that wasn’t the point. My car was being profiled.
