One of my few issues with Barack Obama’s platform is a fraction of his stance on HIV/AIDS prevention. I don’t understand why he believes in funding a needle exchange for drug addicts instead of using the funding to establish rehab centers and treatment. To me, it seems like that plan of action is only encouraging drug use instead of trying to eliminate it. Have there been past governmental attempts or acts to do this prior to the “needle exchange” idea?

I have my Diploma through CDI College for Addictions/Community Service Worker. I am very interested in opening up my own treatment center. I would like to know if anyone knows the steps to doing this? or if anyone have any information that would help me. Thank you for all the help.

Hi. I was just weighing my options for how to deal with my drug problem. I work random 1st and 2nd shifts so inpatient rehab is out of the question, and because of the 1st and 2nd shift switching I couldn’t make every intensive outpatient meeting. I am not quite sure how to handle this. It is very hard for me to just stop using drugs by myself. I would probably go to rehab but I just started this new job I went to school for. Is there any other ways I can get help?
